• Email — when you sign up for alerts or Pro.
• Payment info — processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
• Analytics — Vercel Analytics, no PII, no cookies.
• Alert preferences — metros you monitor and notification settings.

HOW WE USE IT

• Send alerts for metros you select.
• Send weekly briefing / daily Pro digest.
• Process Pro subscription payments.
• Improve the product from aggregated, anonymized patterns.
• Transactional emails (confirmations, receipts).

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• Supabase — database and auth.
• Stripe — payments. Privacy.
• Resend — email delivery.
• Vercel Analytics — no cookies, no PII.
• Google AdSense — ads on free pages. Privacy. Pro users see no ads.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — market analysis. No personal data sent. Privacy.
• Mapbox — homepage map. Privacy.
• Amazon Associates — affiliate links. Small commission, no extra cost to you.

COOKIES

• Essential — auth and sessions.
• Analytics — Vercel, no cookies.
• AdSense — Google may set cookies. Opt out. Pro = no ads.

DATA RETENTION

Account data retained while active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Anonymized analytics retained indefinitely. Stripe retains payment records per financial regulations.

UNSUBSCRIBE & DELETION

• Unsubscribe — link in any alert email, or from dashboard.
• Cancel Pro — from dashboard. Access until end of billing period.
• Delete account — email support@crashwatch.live. Deleted within 30 days.

YOUR RIGHTS (CCPA / GDPR)

• Right to know, delete, opt out, portability, correction.
• We do not sell your data.
• No discrimination for exercising rights.
